GREENFIELD PROJECTS

A greenfield project is a mining project that starts from scratch. In this case an entrepreneur went to a site and found an ore body that has never been mined before. In order to make this ore body profitable this entrepreneur needs to invest money and time to develop geological characterization, mine planning, hydro geological and seismic studies, environmental studies, legal studies, search for financing and  engineering studies,  among other activities. This last set of studies will provide with details of a processing route that will allow separating metals from waste rock. 

For these type of projects we can do the following

  1. Plan the sampling campaign together with the geologist
  2. Plan and execute screening metallurgical tests to determine the best processing route based on the lithology and ore types found on this project
  3. Develop an early grouping of geological units together with the geologist input and metallurgical test results
  4. Once a preliminary geological model is developed we will plan and execute more detailed flowsheet development activities based on a preliminary mine plan
  5. We will interact with the mine planner and geologist to define a preliminary economic model
